Program History:

EDUEgypt phase I (2007-2008):

Phase I was the first actual step in the protocol. It covered two universities (Cairo University and Ain Shams University) and it targeted fourth year students [about 3000+ students] in the following faculties, (Commerce - Computer and Information Technology - Economics and Political Science).

Moreover, phase I aimed at enhancing the students' English language skills and soft Skills, and it was implemented by local companies like New Horizons.

EDUEgypt phase II (2008-2009):

Phase II [BPO Training] was launched in December 2008 and it made use of the Indian experience in the BPO field.

The main theme of this phase was the knowledge transfer process from the best Indian experts in the BPO field; Firstsource, Infosys, and IBM. The three companies trained 240 Egyptian trainers who delivered the BPO training to 5,000 students in 7 Egyptian universities and 22 faculties.

EDUEgypt phase III (2009-2010):

October 2009 was the launch of phase III at 10 universities in 35 faculties; [The BPO Training in 32 faculties and the ITO Training in 3 faculties]. This phase has witnessed vertical expansion; reaching the third year students through the Language Skills Program. The objective of this vertical expansion was to help those students to be well prepared when joining the BPO program in their fourth academic year.

Though the third phase was very challenging due to the vertical and horizontal expansions (10,000 students; 6000 students in the 3rd year and 4000 in the 4th. year), EDUEgypt team was successful at turning EDUEgypt to community initiative through the various social activities and the industry awareness sessions to all the stake holders (students, parents, academia).

EDUEgypt phase IV (2010-2011):

For the fourth year EDUEgypt program continues to support students of Egyptian universities with the essential set of skills needed for increasing their employability. EDUEgypt phase  IV has started on the 6th of November in 12 universities and 41 faculties (BPO Training in 36 faculties and ITO Training in 5 faculties), keeping by this the promise of expanding in new universities (two new universities were added this phase: Kafr El-Sheikh and Menofia).
