Cairo University:

The University was founded on the 21st of December , 1908, as a result of an effort to establish a national center for liberal thought. It is the largest University in Africa and it's been described as Egypt's most important modern educational institution. More>>

Ain Shams University:

Ain Shams University was established in 1950. It is the third oldest university in Egypt, the university includes 15 faculties and 2 high institutes. It includes more than 180,000 students, 5,000 staff members, 4,000 assistant staff and more than 100 centers and special units. More >>

Alexandria University:

In 1938, the nucleus of the Alexandria University had its beginning in the form of two satellite faculties of Fouad the First University. These were the faculties of Arts and Law. The faculty of Engineering was then established in 1941. In the light of the need for developing more disciplines for higher learning and with a view towards meeting the need of the people of Alexandria, Alexandria University, formerly known as Farouk University, became a separate entity in August 1942 with four additional faculties: Science, Commerce, Medicine and Agriculture. Assuit  University:

The University was established in 1957 as the first university in Upper Egypt Assiut University has pioneered in preparing highly qualified graduates with the basic specialized academic knowledge and training expertise on the various necessary skills. Mansoura University:

Mansoura University was established in 1973. It is the six oldest university in Egypt, the university includes 27 faculties . It includes more than 123,482 students, 5,527 staff members, and more than 100 centers and special units. >>More

Zagazig University (ZU) was founded in 1974, as a state university, in accordance with the presidential decree number 18  to create and transfer knowledge that will shape citizens who contribute to their communities and lead their professions in a global society.  >>More

Helwan University:

Helwan University was established upon the presidential decree issued on 26 July 1975. However, it goes back to the 19th century during the reign of Mohamed Ali who established "The Operations School". The fields of that school were the basis of many institutes that formed Helwan University later.  >>More

Sohag University:

Sohag University is a valued addition to the existing universities in Egypt, a "branch" that has become a full-fledged, deep-rooted tree that will continue to give its community and country fruits of knowledge and wisdom, a comprehensive and expanding employer with about 30,000 students enrolled in its colleges, in addition to non-regulars and open-university learners, 1700 faculty members, who teach, do and supervise research and training and serve their university and community, and 4500 staff, and an institution with a storied past, vibrant present and bright future. It started with a Faculty of Education (1972), then a Faculty of Science and a Faculty of Arts (1975), a Faculty of Commerce (1981) and of Medicine (1991) then an Industrial Education Faculty and a Nursing Faculty (2006). The University is expanding with a Faculty of Engineering and a Faculty of Veterinary Medicine scheduled to start in the academic year 2008-2009.  >>More

Tanta University:

In the very beginning, the University of was founded under Presidential Decree No. 1468 for the year 1962 as a branch of the University of Alexandria. The decision assured on the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine in Tanta.>>More

Suez Canal University:

Suez Canal University was established by Presidential Decree No. 93 of 1976, and received its first batch of students in the following year in 1977. >>More

Kafr El-Sheikh University:

The University was founded in 2006 by the Presidential decree No. 129. It includes 9 faculties, namely, faculty of Agriculture, which was established in 1969; faculty of Education, established in 1977; faculty of Veterinary Medicine, in 1985; faculty of Engineering, in 1990; faculty of Commerce, in 1990; faculty of Physical Education, in 1991; faculty of Arts, in 1994; faculty of Physical Education, in 1997 and faculty of Science, in 2009. >>More

Menofia University:

Menofia University (MU) was founded in accordance with the republican decree No.93 in compliance to the increasing demand on higher education in Egypt. MU started with four faculties; Agriculture, Engineering, Education, and Electronic Engineering. Now, MU has 22 faculties & institutes.  >>More
